Privacy Policy

Last updated August 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MetaLinx Innovations ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information in connection with KhataSync POS (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide directly, such as your name, company and branch details, staff accounts, and the business data entered into the platform — products, orders, customers, and store-credit balances. When you book a demo or contact us, we also collect the details you submit through that form.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate and maintain the Service for your company and branches;
  • To set up and support your account, including onboarding and staff training;
  • To generate and verify billing invoices and payment receipts;
  • To communicate with you about your account, demos and support requests;
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the platform.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

KhataSync POS is a multi-tenant web application: each company's data is logically isolated, and access is controlled by role-based permissions, so staff only see what their role is granted (for example, a cashier role cannot access reports or settings a manager can). Order and business data is currently stored server-side in the platform's database rather than only on the local device.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Accounts that remain inactive for a continuous period of one (1) year may be permanently deleted, along with all associated business data, and that data cannot be recovered afterward. We recommend using the Backup module to export any records you may need before a period of extended inactivity.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data. Information is not shared with third parties except where necessary to operate the Service (for example, hosting infrastructure), to verify bank transfer payments, or where required by law.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or export of your business data at any time while your account is active, using the Service's built-in export and backup tools or by contacting us directly. You may also request account closure, subject to the terms of your subscription.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time, at our sole discretion, as needed to protect our business, our systems and our other customers, or to comply with security, legal or regulatory requirements. Material changes will be reflected on this page along with an updated "Last updated" date.

8. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy can be sent to our support team at the contact details provided during your onboarding.
